You are like the full moon — you shine with that deep rooted potential of yours. You are strong, firm and know your place in the sky. Pure, bright and cool you are clear for everyone to feel, your beauty, easy to admire.

For a time I tried to be like you. But I was never the moon, instead beautiful in a different type of way — like the rising sun amidst the morning fog; not yet ready and not yet at my full capacity. I still need time to rise up and when I am ready, I will shine.

But it will not be the same. I will be strong, brazen and warming. I will be hot, passionate and bold; emotional but eloquent.

Some will find their solace in the illumination of the full moon and some will find their warmth in the radiance of the sun, some will appreciate both. Our ways of being and feeling may differ and thus the lights we radiate. But each has its own unique beauty that does not take from the other. Both sources of light but different in its outreaches of people; they carry different roles to balance one another; that is why the moon and sun shine in different sky’s. But every now and then you see both on the same horizon; the meeting of two great companions.

That is us, the Moon and the Sun.

I dump some of my raw, unedited thoughts, emotions and ideas here, some refined ones too. It’s a bit of a chaotic, wonderful, mess. Dare to venture within?
